WARREN, N.J. (AP) -- Common Cents Mobile, a prepaid wireless service offered by Sprint Nextel Corp., said it is expanding sales into an additional 500 Walmart stores across the country.

The service will now be sold in 1,250 Wal-Mart Stores Inc. locations across the U.S., including new markets for Common Cents such as Chicago/Central Illinois, New Orleans, Cincinnati and Washington, D.C.

Launched in May, Common Cents Mobile offers cell phone service with 7-cent minutes that "round down" -- so if you talk for 3 minutes and 23 seconds, you only pay for 3 minutes of talk time. The program also offers 7-cent messaging with no long-term contract.
